Luis David Matos (born October 30, 1978 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico) is a center fielder in Major League Baseball who has played for the Baltimore Orioles since 2000. Matos has had only 3 seasons with over 300 AB and one with 400 or more, although in 2005 Matos attempted a bunt and was de-gloved (the skin came off of his hand) by the ball. Matos has been below average except for 2003 when he had 13 HR 15 SB and had an average if 303. Matos is a good fielding CF but has an average arm. Matos has above average speed witch dosen't translate into many steals. He was selected in the 10th round of the 1996 amateur draft. He bats and throws right-handed.
