Luna 1958B (E-1 series) was the second Soviet spacecraft which was used for a mission to the Moon. It was launched on the 12th of October in 1958 and its mission was to crash into the Moon's surface. It is unknown whether it was carrying a soviet pennant and sodium container or not. Unfortunately the launch of this spacecraft wasn't succesful. It was heavily damaged during the flight and exploded 104 seconds after launch, failing to leave the Earth's atmosphere.
