Lunds kommun is a municipality in Skåne County in southernmost Sweden .
Lund , with a population of 73,840, is the natural center of the municipality, but administrative reforms of the 1970s led to the incorporation of the towns of:
Södra Sandby, pop. 5,586 Dalby , pop. 5,469Veberöd, pop. 3,569 Genarp, pop. 2,511 These towns are part of the South-Western Scania metropolitan area , chiefly serving as suburbs for Malmö and Lund.

Dalby Söderskog is situated between Dalby and Lund.

Lund Kommune was established in 1837, and obtained existing areal in 1965 by merging with the old municipality Heskestad. Lund Municipality and the town of Moi are situated halfway between Stavanger and Kristiansand and have excellent communication possibilities. Lund is well known for its fantastic and varied nature with many lakes and very good fishing and hunting possibilities.
