Lunenburg is a town located in Essex County, Vermont. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 1,328.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 117.5 km² (45.4 mi²). 116.8 km² (45.1 mi²) of it is land and 0.7 km² (0.3 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.62% water.

As of the census² of 2000, there are 1,328 people, 516 households, and 366 families residing in the town. The population density is 11.4/km² (29.5/mi²). There are 747 housing units at an average density of 6.4/km² (16.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 97.82% White, 0.08% African American, 0.68% Native American, 0.08% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 1.36% from two or more races. 0.38% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
