The Lusatian Neisse (German Lausitzer Neiße, Polish Nysa Łużycka, Czech Lužická Nisa) is a river in the Czech Republic (54 km) and on Polish-German border (198 km), in total 252 km long. It flows into Oder River near Gubin.
Guben is a city on the LusatianNeisse river in the state of Brandenburg, Germany.
A settlement on the eastern shore of the LusatianNeisse was protected from swamps to the south and by the Lubst, a tributary of the Neisse, to the north and the east.
Because Guben was on the LusatianNeisse, the city was separated into German Guben and Polish Gubin.
