History The band members are Kate Schellenbach (drums), Jill Cunniff (vocals, bass), Gabby Glaser (vocals, guitar), and Vivian Trimble (keyboards, vocals). Schellenbach and Cunniff met while Schellenbach was drummer for the Beastie Boys whom Cunniff was interviewing for her zine. They all frequented shows at downtown Manhattan haunts like CBGB's, Hurrah, Tier 3, and Max's Kansas City. Trimble and Cunniff released a side project under the name Kostars in 1996. Tired of touring on the road, Trimble left Luscious Jackson in 1998 after the group's second full-length album, Fever In Fever Out in order to pursue other musical projects.
