He was born in West Tennessee to Mary Lindsay and Jim Dickinson, a Memphis record producer. Dickinson grew up playing and gaining experience with the Replacements, Mojo Nixon, Toy Caldwell, the New Gospel Choir, and Billy Lee Riley. In 1999, along with his brother Cody, he played on Willy DeVille's Horse of a Different Color album, for which he also produced one song ("Goin' Over the Hill"). Jim Dickinson is an American record producer, pianist and singer. ...
