Lygia Clark (1920 – 1988) is a Brazilian artist best known for her painting and installation work. She is often associated with the Brazilian constructivist movements of the mid-20th century.
Life and work
Clark was born in Belo Horizonte and began painting in the 1950s. Her most widely received works were experimental installation pieces in the 1960s, some of which were on display at the 1968 Biennale.
