Lynda López a.k.a. "Ly Lo" (born 1973 in the Bronx, New York) is the anchor of the first hour of Good Day New York Wakeup and Fox 5 Live, at WNYW-TV. She replaces current anchor Lucy Noland. Previously, Lynda anchored the weekend My9 News At Ten, on WWOR-TV , journalist and the host of the GLOW TV show. Lynda's parents moved from Puerto Rico to the Bronx section of New York City, looking for a better way of life. They had three daughters, Leslie, Jennifer (also known by her nickname of "J-Lo"), and Lynda, who was the youngest. As a child, Lynda was shy and a loner. She enjoyed school and was nicknamed "Brainiac" by her schoolmates because of her intellectual qualities. She didn't share Jennifer's desire for the spotlight while growing up. After graduating from Preston High School in 1991, Lynda enrolled at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University, where she majored in Broadcasting and Communications. Lynda started her radio broadcasting career at WBAB and WLIR on Long Island. She later went to work for WXXP Party 105, also on Long Island, as both Assistant Program Director and Music Director.
