The Lyondell Chemical Company is currently the third largest independent chemical manufacturer in the United States. Since its establishment in 1985 from certain facilities belonging to the Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO), the company has grown through various acquistions and is currently a Fortune 500 company that operates in 5 continents and employs over 11,000 people.
