Preem Refinery Lysekil switches to surface-mounted flow control fittings for process analysis (827 words)
Lysekil, Sweden, November 8, 2004 --- The Preem Refinery Lysekil in Sweden (previously known as Scanraff) has installed its first surface-mounting flow control substrate in a process analyzer station.
This approach allows flow control substrates to be constructed with extremely low profiles (less than 3/4inch / 20mm including the pegboard), and additionally optimises efficiency in terms of smaller internal volume sizes for faster sampling and purging cycles.
The Preem Refinery at Lysekil - a deepwater port to the North of Gothenburg affording access to tankers up to 500,000 dwt - was established in 1975 and has been upgraded many times to become one of the most flexible and modern refineries in Europe.
