The Hindu : MDMK strategy session soon (547 words)
The MDMK leadership will meet in Chennai early next week to work out a strategy, in the wake of the arrest of its general secretary, Vaiko, under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.
The MDMK is in no hurry to begin another round of agitation to force the State Government to release its leader, though it is keen on capitalising on the Vaiko arrest episode to revitalise the party.
Meanwhile, the party functionaries said that while the MDMK condemned the assassination of the former Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi, individual events should not decide the fate of the entire Tamil race.
