Movie Review Query Engine (acronym: MRQE) is one of the largest indices of movie reviews available online. It includes reviews from both offline and online sources. It can be searched by movie title, recent releases, lists of festivals and selections of the American Film Institute. Since 1993, its database and search engine have been continuously upgraded by Stewart M. Clamen. Film criticism is the analysis and evaluation of films. ... A festival or fest is an event, usually staged by a local community, which centers on some theme, sometimes on some unique aspect of the community. ... The American Film Institute is an independent non-profit organization created by the National Endowment for the Arts, which was established in 1965 when President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the National Foundation on the Arts and the Humanities Act. ... 1993 (MCMXCIII) is a common year starting on Friday of the Gregorian calendar and marked the Beginning of the International Decade to Combat Racism and Racial Discrimination (1993-2003). ...
MRQE does have links connected to www.amazon.com and the www.wbonlineshop.com to help surfers buy DVDs online, but both sites don’t have any links to a regular movie rental store.
If I were the owner or designer of either web page I would have www.blockbuster.com on as a link on my page.
Obviously because of their content the MRQE search engine is a lot more useful than the one from Critics.
MRQE is devoted to cinema of all sorts according to Clamen, who earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University.
MRQE links visitors to 200 to 300 other sites with the number of critiques ranging from 293 reviews for Star Wars: Episode I—The Phantom Menace (1999) in mid-May to four articles on The Phantom Tollbooth (1969) to three reviews for Phantom of the Opera (1943).
MRQE includes reviews of films produced throughout the world in English, German, Italian, French, Spanish and Norwegian, among other languages.
