MacSoft's Macworld Expo lineup is heavily influenced by the company's previously announced relationship with PC game publisher Hasbro Interactive -- at Macworld Expo New York in July, 2000, MacSoft announced a 13 title publishing deal with Hasbro.
MacSoft announced that it has acquired the Mac publishing rights to Master of Orion III, a turn-based strategy game currently in development by Quicksilver Software, Inc. The game is scheduled for a release in early 2002, and is being developed simultaneously for the Mac and PC.
MacSoft is also using the Macworld Expo event to show off Pong -- another modern rework of a certified arcade classic, arguably one of the progenitors of video game entertainment as we know it.
In a previous report I talked about some of the new titles that MacSoft announced...the RPG adventure Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption, the arcade/action game Beachhead 2000, the classic strategy game Risk 2, the Rainbow Six expansion pack Rogue Spear, and Wheel of Fortune with Vanna White and Jeopardy with Alex Trebek.
It was comfy, and the MacSoft gang were an entertaining bunch, so I managed to come up with a few other questions to kill time until lunch.
MacSoft has continuously brought us some of the greatest games the Mac has seen, and thankfully, they show no signs of slowing down.
