مدينة السلطان قابوس Madinate Al Sultan Qaboos is the area in the middle of the Central Muscat, the Capital of the Sultanate of Oman. The Name "Madinat Al Sultan Qaboos" in Arabic means in English: "the City of the Sultan Qaboos" where the Arabic word "Madinat" means "City" in English. Sultan Qaboos is the current "Sultan" ruler of the Sultanate of Oman. The Area of the Madinat Al Sultan Qaboos is very small and dones not have any high-rise buildings & nor it is any crowded. The British Council building is considered on the first building to mark out the area of Madinat Al Sultan Qaboos.


This area of Muscat got awarded its name as "Madinat Al Sultan Qabood" in the late 70ies.
