Manchester is a town located in Grant County, Oklahoma. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 104.

Manchester is located at 36°59'36" North, 98°2'12" West (36.993311, -98.036637)1.


According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.6 km² (0.2 mi²). 0.6 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.


Demographics

As of the census2 of 2000, there are 104 people, 47 households, and 29 families residing in the town. The population density is 167.3/km² (440.0/mi²). There are 58 housing units at an average density of 93.3/km² (245.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 99.04% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.96% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.


There are 47 households out of which 29.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.4% are married couples living together, 2.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 36.2% are non-families. 34.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 17.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.21 and the average family size is 2.87.


In the town the population is spread out with 21.2% under the age of 18, 3.8% from 18 to 24, 30.8% from 25 to 44, 25.0% from 45 to 64, and 19.2% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 44 years. For every 100 females there are 92.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 100.0 males.


The median income for a household in the town is $27,500, and the median income for a family is $36,250. Males have a median income of $21,250 versus $15,500 for females. The per capita income for the town is $12,760. 6.7% of the population and 5.6% of families are below the poverty line.
