Marguerite S. Church, was a Republican Psychologist who represented Illinois' 13th congressional district from 1951 to 1963. Representitive Church was born on September 27th, 1892 in New York and died on May 26th, 1990 in Chicago at age 98. She was a member of the Methodist Church and was married to Ralph Edwin Church, who also represented the 13th Congressional District of Illinois. Representitive Church was also a memeber of The League of Women Voters, The American Association of University Women, Delta Kappa Gamma, and Phi Beta Kappa. She also served as a delegate to the Republican National Convention from Illinois in 1964. The United Methodist Church is the largest Methodist denomination, and the second-largest Protestant one, in the United States. ...
