In Adema Mark Chavez formed Adema in 1998. The band originally started out with Chavez, Mike Montano, Mike Ransom, Cesareo Garcia, and Erik Jackson. In 1999, Montano was replaced by current bassist, Dave DeRoo, Garcia was replaced by current drummer, Kris Kohls, and Jackson was replaced by current guitarist, Tim Fluckey and maintained that lineup from 1999 to 2003. In 2004, while the band was at work on their third album, Chavez had a falling out with the band and departed shortly thereafter. Since departing the band, he has gained a somewhat rabid fan following, possibly because the fans preferred his voice and hard rock singing style over the former lead singer of Adema, Luke Caraccioli's softer style. After Luke's departure from Adema, Mark caught up with his former bandmates, and is once again on good terms with them. They were briefly in talks about getting back together with Mark as their lead singer, even writing and singing a few songs together, but to date nothing more has developed. The current lead singer of Adema is Bobby Reeves and new guitar player Ed Faris both from L.A. band called Level. Mike Ransom is the former guitarist for the metal band Adema, which was led by Mark Chavez. ...

"MIDNIGHT PANIC started on an afternoon out at my studio in Bakersfield. Matt Low started working with me on programing different loops and music, which got things off the ground! I found Matt while producing a band that he was in, we worked really good together. Things just kept getting better and we decided to do a band. The first name we had was STATE OF MIND, but then we found out that there was already a band that had that name so we changed it to MIDNIGHT PANIC. My cousin, the guitar player, Peter Shubert started coming around and we got some songs together. I liked what he brought to the table because I always wanted a punk feel to the music and that's what he brought! We had a lot of music together but we needed a strong bass player. I called my longtime friend Mike Montano and he came out to check out the music! He loved it, and ironically Mike was the very first bass player that I had in ADEMA back in 1998. We disbanded that ADEMA in '99 but everything happens for a reason!" The band line up included Chavez himself, his cousin, Peter Shubert, and the former Adema co-founders, Mike Montano and Cesareo Garasa. The band had released their debut album in 2005 and a follow up LP was expected out in the later part of 2007. The band formerly featured Matt Low as their drummer from 2005 to late 2006. He has since left the band to return to SWAG 667. During the summer of 2007, Mark had been working on a solo project. Sadly only a few weeks after confirming he was working on a solo project; Mark in a Myspace bulletin he posted, stated that he is no longer working with Midnight Panic and this is the information he released about his recent events posted on Myspace July 14th, 2007 1:28 a.m., "Songs are coming along! I should have them done in a couple of days. I will post a bulletin the minute they are loaded on my page. Oh yea, I am no longer doing Midnight Panic. I have decided that the solo record is the path that I want to take in my music ventures. Just you wait, you all will see why I have made this decision. The music is saving my life. I would appreciate if you would all let me know what you think of my decision once you've heard the new solo project. Thanks, Marky" Since then, the two remaining members Pete and Mike stated that they would post up formerly unheard songs by the group to be available for download on their page. They also stated in their blog, that whether it be together, in another group, or separate, Mike and Pete would continue to write music.
Present Day Today, Mark is hard at work with his solo project. Recently, it has been announced that Chavez plans to launch his debut solo album in early 2008. The line-up for his solo project according to his page are as follows: Mark Chavez - Vocals, Guitar, Bass Joe Davis - Guitar, Drums Adam Stahl - Guitar Mark has yet to give fans an update on his status with the solo project. He has thus far remained silent since announcing his solo career back in July 2007.
