Mark "Barney" Greenway, born July 13, 1969 in Kettering, is a British death metal vocalist, who has been a member of Napalm Death, Extreme Noise Terror and Benediction. Greenway often vocalises Napalm Death's left-wing convictions onstage during their live sets. For example, during their set at Download 2007, he was heard to tell the crowd (to the accompaniment of raucous cheers), "God does not exist. [Religion] is nothing but a load of unproven, unsubstantiated nonsense. It causes nothing but problems." Greenway is a big progressive metal fan. He joined Dream Theater on stage at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club and performed vocals on Metallica's "Damage, Inc." live. He is a regular contributor of the British rock magazine Kerrang! as a reviewer of prog metal bands/albums.
