The MarkHellinger Theatre, at 1655 Broadway and 237 West 51st Street in New York City, was built by Thomas W. Lamb for Warner Bros. and operated as a theatre (under various names) until 1989.
In 1940 it briefly became the 51st Street Theater, but was reclaimed by the Warners as the Hollywood Theater, and in 1947 was renamed Warner Theater.
On January 22, 1949, it reopened as the MarkHellinger Theatre (for MarkHellinger, a Broadway critic and columnist).
