Trevorrow was the third boy in a family of four raised by conservative Methodist school-teacher Alan and his wife, Dorothy.
Trevorrow is handsomer than Downe, with close-cropped dark hair just beginning to silver, now he's 43, and the long, fine hands of a piano player.
Trevorrow first met comedian Gina Riley at a party at comedian and now radio star Wendy Harmer's place when they were both in their teens, and they work together still.
