Marlow F.C. is a football club based in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, England. It was established in 1870 taking part in the first ever FA Cup, which began in 1871. In 1882, it reached the semi-final of the FA Cup. In more recent times, Marlow reached the first round of the FA Cup four times, all in the successive seasons of 1991-95, including Third Round losses to Tottenham Hotspur in 1992-93 and Swindon Town in 1994-95, a run in which it claimed the scalp of Oxford United. History

The club was formed in November 1870 and was a major force in Victorian football. Marlow is one of only two teams to have entered the FA Cup in every season since its inception (although on one occasion it withdrew before playing its first match). In 1894 the club turned down the chance to join the Southern League in order to remain staunchly amateur. In 1965-66, it joined the second division of the Athenian League. Winning promotion to the top division in 1970-71, it remained in that league until 1983-84, when the Athenian League was disbanded. Ground

Until 1919 the club played at Crown Meadow, but were forced to move to the inferior Star Meadow, which was a contributing factor to its financial crisis in the inter-war years. In 1924 club secretary Alfred Davis died and an appeal was launched to fund the building of a new ground in his honour, which was opened in 1928.
