Grimes is best known for her Richard Jury mysteries, a series of novels featuring Jury, an inspector with Scotland Yard, and his friend Melrose Plant, a British aristocrat who gave up his titles. Each of the Jury mysteries is named after a pub. Her page turning, character driven, relatively tame tales fall in to the mystery subdivision of "cozies." She has also published several other novels, and books of short stories and poetry.
