Marty Casey is a Chicago-based musician and the lead singer of the band The Lovehammers. Casey is a modern rock-based singer who competed in the reality show Rock Star: INXS. Casey made it to the final two of the competition, but lost to the eventual winner J.D. Fortune. Chicago (officially named the City of Chicago) is the third largest city in the United States (after New York City and Los Angeles), with an official population of 2,896,016, as of the 2000 census. ... J.D. Fortune is the stage name of Jason Dean Bennison (born September 1, 1973) a Canadian rock singer, winner of the 2005 CBS reality television series Rock Star: INXS, and the current lead singer of rock band INXS. He was born in Mississauga, Ontario and raised in Pictou County...


During the competition, Casey gained a lot of respect of the INXS band members as well as the fans. His performances were consistently given high marks. During the competition he performed an original song called "Trees" which became a fan-favorite. The Australian band INXS, as they were with the late Michael Hutchence The Australian band INXS, with new lead singer J.D. Fortune INXS is an Australian rock group. ...


There is talk that Casey is being considered for a possible opening act for INXS' 2006 World Tour. After revealing the selection of Fortune as the new INXS front man, INXS guitarist Tim Farriss said he wanted to talk to Casey about potentially opening for INXS on tour.
