Professor Nora Elizabeth Mary Boyce (2 August 1920 - 4 April 2006) was the world's leading doyenne of Zoroastrian studies. She was Professor Emerita of Iranian studies at the University of London's School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). She received her Ph.D. in Oriental Studies from the University of Cambridge in 1952 and has written numerous books and articles on Zoroastrianism, Manichaeism and Middle Iranian languages and literatures.
