Maryland Route 25, better known as Falls Road, is a Maryland Route that starts in Baltimore City in the Hampden industrial area, and continues north through Baltimore County to the Pennsylvania state line. It passes through the communities of Cross Keys and Mt. Washington in the city, and the towns of Brooklandville and Hunt Valley in Baltimore County. Split Route

In Brooklandville, due to the position of I-83, Falls Road has been split since the route was open. When traveling northbound from Baltimore City, the road will become Joppa Road if a motorist continues driving straight. A left turn is required to continue on Falls Road. When traveling southbound at the same point, a right turn is required to continue on Falls Road, and driving straight will bring the motorist onto I-83, with an option of getting onto the Baltimore Beltway/I-695. From I-695, Falls Road can be reached by taking exit 23, which is also the exit for I-83 in a southbound direction, also known as the Jones Falls Expressway, which runs parallel to Falls Road. Motorists must specifically follow the signs to Falls Road. These signs will lead the motorist to traveling on Falls Road in a northbound direction. In order to travel southbound, a left turn is required at the intersection of Falls/Joppa Roads.


It is in this area where Greenspring Station can be found.


Closed Section

In Baltimore City, between Hampden and Penn Station, a section of Falls Road has been closed indefinitely to traffic.

There is a stop on the Central Light Rail line near the entrance to Robert E. Lee Park, just north of Lake Avenue. In addition, several other light rail stops are within a close walk of various points along Falls Road.
