The Maryland State Senate is the upper house of the General Assembly, the state legislature of the U.S. state of Maryland. It is composed of 47 senators elected from single-member districts.


The President of the Senate is Thomas V. Mike Miller, Jr., a Democrat from Prince George's County. Adrienne Ida G. Ruben, a Democrat from Montgomery County is the President Pro Tem. Nathaniel J. McFadden, a Democrat from Baltimore is the Senate Majority Leader. James E. DeGrange, Jr. a Democrat from Anne Arundel County is the Senate Majority Whip.


J. Lowell Stoltzfus a Republican from Somerset County is the Senate Minority Leader. Andrew P. Harris a Republican from Baltimore County is the House Minority Leader.
