Matt Ward (March 30, 1983) is a lacrosse player in the US. After finishing a legendary prep career at national lacrosse powerhouse Landon School in suburban Washington, DC, he committed to the University of Virginia. Ward led the Landon Bears to 2 straight national championships (finishing ranked #1 in the country by Inside Lacrosse and LaxPower) in 2001 and 2002, and was also named Washington Post All-Metro Player of the Year in both years, a task which had never been done and has not been done since.
