Wuori participated in the cultural and political liberation movement of the 1968 generation.
My first personal memory of MattiWuori is from the first action of Greenpeace in Finland in 1988, as he was already the self-evident leader in efforts to seize an unlawful shipment of whale meat from Iceland to the sushi-restaurants of Japan, via the transit port of Helsinki.
