Reagan, 60, had been undergoing radiation treatments for a malignant melanoma that had spread to her brain.
"Maureen had his gift of communication, his love of politics, and when she believed in a cause, she was not afraid to fight hard for it," Nancy Reagan said in a statement.

Reagan began a regimen of whole brain radiation consisting of 10 treatments over a 2 week period along with the administration of steroids, anticonvulsants and diuretics to reduce the intracranial pressure associated with the cerebral edema and to stop further seizures.
