Maximo: Ghosts to Glory is a PlayStation 2video game by Capcom released in 2002. Finding inspiration in the arcade classic, Ghosts and Goblins, this PS2 title is packed with fantastical elements and sly humor. Built in gorgeous 3D, the game challenges you to guide Maximo, a brave knight, through a dark medieval world. You’ll be armed with the requisite swords, shields, maces, and more (you are a knight, after all), and there are plenty of creatures to eliminate throughout the game’s staggering expanses. The story goes a little something like this: Thinking he’d found a trustworthy assistant in the likes of Achille, Maximo decided to leave his apprentice behind and go out into the world. Much to the title character’s dismay, Achille turned out to be an evil super-villain, and now the land is in trouble. Four princesses have been captured, and the dastardly Achille has spread them across the world, stashing them away in four separate towers. To make matters even worse, Achille has taken Maximo’s main squeeze as a bride! Battle fierce creatures and explore dark lands in the name of peace, love, and awesome gaming.
