The McGriddle is the brand name for a breakfast sandwich available at McDonald's in Canada and the United States. All McGriddle sandwiches feature "griddle cakes" as the baked product that holds it together. These are similar to small pancakes that have a helping of maple-flavored syrup applied to the inside. I've been discussing the McGriddle with Andrew for months and months, ever since the commercial for it first started airing, but I like sleeping in more than I like to have breakfast and so I've never actually had the opportunity to go get one before.
Where the McMuffin is salty and firm, the McGriddle is sweet and soft, with tiny pockets of syrup baked in.
