The Medicine Hat Tigers are a junior ice hockey team in the Western Hockey League who play out of Medicine Hat, Alberta. They won the 2004 Championships over the Everett Silvertips in four straight games. This clinched the Tigers' berth in the 2004 Memorial Cup where they would finish third, losing to the Gatineau Olympiques in the semi-final. However, the Tigers won back-to-back Cups in 1987 and 1988. The Tigers play at the Medicine Hat Arena. The Tigers were granted a franchise in 1970.
