Meirionnydd Nant Conwy is a Parliamentary constituency in Wales. It consists of Conwy and Merioneth. It has the lowest population of any constituency in Wales, and also has the highest proportion of Welsh-speaking voters.


From 1974 to 1992 it was represented by Dafydd Elis Thomas, and is now represented by Elfyn Llwyd, both of Plaid Cymru.

Meirionnydd Nant Conwy is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom.
Following its review of parliamentary representation in Wales, the Boundary Commission for Wales has created the constituency of Dwyfor Meirionnydd to be fought at the next UK general election in 2009 or 2010.
From 1983 to 1992 the parliamentary constituency was represented by Dafydd Elis-Thomas who now represents Meirionnydd Nant Conwy in the National Assembly for Wales.

Meirionnydd was one of five districts of Gwynedd, Wales from 1974 to 1996.
The distict comprised the majority of the administrative county of Merionethshire, Meirionnydd being the Welsh spelling of the county's name.
Meirionnydd District was abolished in 1996 by the Local Government (Wales) Act 1994, becoming part of the unitary authority of Caernarfonshire and Merionethshire, subsequently renamed Gwynedd.
