Melissa Ng Mei Hang (Traditional Chinese: 吳美珩, born 5 May 1972 in Guangdong, China) is a popular TV actress in Hong Kong. After graduating with a major in international relations and a minor in marketing at San Francisco State University, she entered the Hong Kong entertainment industry in 1996, after placing 1st runner up in Miss Chinese International 1996 (representing San Francisco). She started out with minor roles, appearing in only a few episodes. Then she played second female lead, and recently, she has been playing main female lead in her series. Her many series include A Kindred Spirit, Legend of Lady Yang, Riches and Stitches, A Herbalist Affair, King of Yesterday and Tomorrow, Healing Hands III, Into Thin Air and most recently, La Femme Desperado which received the best ratings for TVB for a series in 2006 so far.
