Melody and the Tyranny will be an EP released by Velvet Revolver as a precursor to their eagerly anticipated album Libertad. Melody and the Tyranny will include two tracks from Libertad as well as the Talking Heads cover "Psycho Killer" and a live renditon of "Do it For the Kids", a song off of Velvet Revolver's debut album, Contraband. Velvet Revolver (abbrieviated to VR) is a hard rock supergroup with three former members of Guns N Roses — Slash, Duff McKagan, and Matt Sorum (who also played with rock bands Hawk and The Cult) — plus Scott Weiland, the lead singer of Stone Temple Pilots, and Dave Kushner of the 80s... On June 1st the whole EP leaked onto various file sharing websites. It lacks of the Making of Libertad and the live version of "Do It for the Kids".


As of June 4 the EP does not appear to have been released to any digital providers or retail stores.
