Metal Magic is the first album by heavy metal band Pantera, released in 1983 (see 1983 in music). Unlike their later releases, this album was musically oriented towards a hard rock/hair metal sound, rather than the thrash metal style which they became famous for. It was released on the band's own label (also called Metal Magic) and produced by Jerry Abbott, father of Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul, and notable country music songwriter and producer.
