Michael Barbiero, born June 25. 1949, is a record producer. He has worked with a number of artists, such as Metallica, Joe Cocker and Anthrax. He started as a remixer in the disco era, and employed his engineering talents on remixes for hits for artists like Whitney Houston, Mick Jagger and Simply Red. Barbiero is a long-time collaborator with producer Steve Thompson. They started working on dance songs and later moved to rock.
