Mike Einziger

Michael Aaron Einziger (born 21 June 1976) in Los Angeles, is the multi-instrumentalist co-writer and guitarist of the alternative rock band Incubus. Instruments he has played on their records include guitar, vocals, piano, mellotron, pipa, analog synthesizers, tape samplers, fender rhodes, wurlitzer, and others. He currently uses Vox and Marshall amps, along with Fender Jazzmaster guitars, as well as a plethora of effects pedals (11-15 depending on the tour), favouring phase shifter and echo effects. He has also played a Jerry Jones Master Sitar on "Nowhere Fast" from the Make Yourself album (live, he simply plays the sitar part with his guitar), and a Pipa on "Aqueous Transmission". Mike also plays electric piano on songs like "Here In My Room" and has recently played piano in a live version of "Drive" during their show at Red Rocks, Colorado.
