History Men had first met both Hughes and Turner when the pair performed in Russia with the Hughes Turner Project. In 2004 he invited them to take part in the recording of a hard-rock album he was putting together and in September of that year the pair went to Moscow to write and record with Men. Along with Hughes and Turner the album featured several native musicians.
