Michele Novaro (1822 - 1885) was a Italian songwriter. He composed the Italian national anthem Inno di Mameli - which was adopted in 1946.

Novaro composed the music, and Mameli returned to Genoa where he presented the words and music to his friends.
The composer Michele Novaro who was a guest at the same party, tried a few notes on the piano and then, too, went home to compose the sequel.
