Mick Leavitt, is a Tony Award-Winning Producer of productions including Thoroughly Modern Millie, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest starring Gary Sinise and Death of a Salesman starring Brian Dennehy. He is President of Elephant Eye Theatrical, a Broadway production company that is in development of new musicals. In addition to his work in New York he is a prominent member of the Chicago Theater community having produced and presented dozens of shows and opperated numerous theatrical venues a theatrical producer in Chicago, Illinois including the Briar Street Theater (bringing Blue Man Group to Chicago), the Apollo Theatre and the Cadillac Palace (opening with Elton John’s Aida). In the early 1980's, Leavitt started his own theatrical company, the Payne Leavitt Group, which he operated for almost a decade. In 1991, Leavitt accepted a bid from Fox Associates to buy his company. Leavitt was named Executive Producer and later President of the new theatrical production arm, Fox Theatricals. Leavitt has produced dozens of productions on Broadway, nationally and regionally.


In addition to producing theatre, Leavitt developed and operated numerous live theatrical venues. Leavitt brought the hit show, Blue Man Group, to Chicago, where it continues to enjoyed record-breaking sold out performances after five years. He has operated numerous venues, including overseeing a $25 million redevelopment of the 1926 Palace Theatre. As President of the theatre, Leavitt created a naming rights deal with Cadillac. The Cadillac Palace Theatre opened in 1999 with the pre-Broadway opening of the Walt Disney production of the Elton John musical, Aida. [9] [10].
