Each episode has the characters help viewers "solve a specific age-appropriate problem utilizing basic skills, such as identifying shapes and counting through ten." The series uses Playhouse Disney’s "whole child" curriculum of cognitive, social and creative learning opportunities. Mickey and friends also get aid from a computerized flying machine named Toodles,[1] who brings "Mousekatools"[2] to them should he be needed (accompanied by "Oh, Toodles!"). He will usually bring four tools with him, although some episodes had Toodles bringing only three tools, and one episode had him bringing five. One of the tools is a "Mystery Mousekatool", which is a surprise tool Mickey and friends might use later on, and is usually used last, although many episodes have the "Mystery Mousekatool" being used next-to-last. And in the episode "Dr. Daisy MD" it was used first. For a curriculum vitae, see Résumé.
