Middle Way philosophy is also linked with a Buddhism meditation technique. Dhammakaya Meditation is a type of Buddhism meditation where a person will focus his or her mind at the center of the body (that's why it is called the middle way or the middle of the body) the whole time rather that focusing on the other parts of the body as well as objects outside the body (Kasina). It is believed that keeping ones' mind at the center of the body protects the mind from surrounding annoyances.

In the same way, in-breathing and out breathing, work and rest are alternating states, and the presence of the one implies the existence, earlier or later in the illusion of time, of the other.
One way to achieve this peace of mind is to let go of either bank of the river and to be content, and it is a deep content, to flow with the stream.
