Plot

Kit (Day) and Anthony Preston (Harrison) never had a real honeymoon and the midnight lace pajamas are for when they can finally get out of London. Anthony's business is very pressing these days. Then Kit is frightened one day in a London fog by a voice behind a statue. Next the telephone calls start. Then there is a new man on the block, the architect of a building going up next to the Prestons' vintage apartment. That vintage building has the kind of curving stairwell and cage-type elevator that Hitchcock and other suspense masters have loved. Could Kit merely have an overactive imagination? Midnight Lace - Cheoy Lee (1278 words)
This is the first Midnight Lace ordered from Cheoy Lee Shipyard with the electrical panel on the port side of the main saloon, allowing room for an "L" shaped sofa to starboard.
The Midnight Lace was the only boat Cheoy Lee built for someone else and they did so by forming a separate company called "Golden Wave Shipyards." Under the same name they produced a number of sailboats intended to compete with Nautor Swan without association with the normal Cheoy Lee line.
"Midnight Lace was inspired by the slippery old hulls that were developed during the age of the rumrunner," Fexas says.
