Railways of Britain2 (1756 words)
This route was to have the steepest climb of the Blackpool routes with a 1:16 to pass over the railway that served Central station.
When the corporation took over operation of the public transport in Blackpool horse buses were banned from the promenade therefore giving the trams all the passenger traffic though also forming an integrated system by allowing the buses to terminate near tram stops for the easy interchange of passenger traffic.
