Biography

Career

Hughes started his acting career in a public service announcement when he was 22 months old and followed that up by appearing in his first feature film when he was only 27 months old. From his years as a child actor, Hughes was consistently one of the busyiest young actors in Hollywood. Hughes is best known on film as Gage Creed in "Pet Sematary" (1989), for his dramatic portrayal of an autistic boy opposite Bruce Willis in Mercury Rising (1998) and Dylan Porter opposite Heather Langenkamp in Wes Craven's New Nightmare (1994). Hughes was born in Apple Valley, California to Mary (Phelps) and John Hughes, a special effects technician.[1] He has three siblings, Mike, Mitch and Molly.[2] He has Chickasaw ancestry and first name means "chief" in both Chickasaw and Choctaw.
