The original Milsons Point railway station was opened as the southern terminus of the North Shore line on 1 May 1893. The site was crowded as three tracks and two platforms were squeezed between rock cliffs and the edge of Sydney Harbour. As part of the construction of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, a new Milsons Point station was built on the northern approach to the bridge and opened in 1932.
