Dave Olsen, of the MilwaukeeHurlingClub, received one of the GAA's President's Awards presented at a banquet at Croke Park on Saturday April 1st.
Mr Olsen was the driving force behind the development of hurling in the predominantly American-born club, and has proven the point that hurling has plenty of room for growth regardless of Irish emigration trends.
"Hurling and the MilwaukeeHurlingClub are the passion for this ultra-passionate man," Ms Fink added.
