This article or section should include material from Nippon minyo.
Minyo is traditional Japanese music which is a form of trade music or labor music, sung between work or for specific jobs. Minyo is distinct depending on the area of Japan, often a rougher, courser variety is found in the Northern prefectures of Hokkaido, or Aomori; while a softer more fluid form is found in middle to southern Japan. Southern Japan (especially Okinawa) has even more distinct music. Okinawa has a different genre altogether called Eisa. Eisa is similar to Minyo, but among Japanese minyo it is very distinct, and often very different. As for the new MINICooper S, the same lightweight aluminum engine block has been outfitted with a twin-scroll, direct-injection turbocharger that delivers 172-HP of pure giddy-up and go.
But the new MINICooper and Cooper S take motoring exhilaration to a new level; sleeker bodies, revamped hood lines and headlamps, and tweaked rear suspensions with aluminum longitudinals for even more control of the road.
